Do you want some tips on casual wear for a woman and are finding it hard to know what to trust? Don’t worry any longer because you have found some of the best pieces of advice on this subject! Getting great clothing for a price that’s more than fair is what you will learn about here.
You’re going to need to figure out who the top retailers are in your country. While it may be okay for you to order specialty clothing from outside of the country, if you’re trying to save money it’s best to buy it from somewhere that won’t charge you a ton of money for shipping. The reason shipping costs are high from other countries is that your packages have to go through customs. This can take a long time and is because they don’t want people shipping anything illegal into their country.
After you figure out who the top retailers are in your country, you should learn how to search their websites. You’ll find that if you figure out how to use the filters they have to narrow down your results, shopping can go a lot faster. For instance, if you wear a size small then you can use a filter to only show you small items instead of every size. This is helpful because finding an item that doesn’t fit in your results can be annoying if you really like it only to find that you can’t fit into it.
Clothing sizes are going to vary across brands, and so while one company’s sizes may fit you well another’s of the same size may not. Reviews can help you to learn if clothing a particular brand offers will be too small or big. Sometimes if you get clothing that’s just a little too big, you can wash it and it will shrink down to the size it is supposed to be. However, if you find that a brand has inconsistent sizing and people complain about that, you know not to order from them and expect to get anything that fits.
Coupon codes are a fantastic way to save money on your orders online. If you are checking out at a store and notice a box where you can enter a coupon or promotional code, stop what you are doing, open up a new browser tab or window, and go to a search engine website. Then you just need to type in the name of the retailer and the words coupon codes. This will give you results that should include any current codes that will help you to get money off of your order. Make sure you check all of the codes that are not expired so you can find out which one gives you the best possible deal.
A good deal for casual wear is not hard to find in this day and age. Just watch out for retailers that are not well reviewed. Having the ability to look at and decide if a retailer is worth it to work with is now a skill you have.
The Chinese zodiac marks 2009 as the year of the Ox. People born this year are likely to be calm and quiet. But the most-talked about people, events, and things of 2009 were anything but, baby! It would be appropriate for the Western world to mark this year, Year of the Gaga. Because like Lady Gaga the occurrences that took place at this turn of the decade were weird, but commanded our attention and expanded our Internet bandwidths.
11. Adam Lambert’s performance at the American Music Awards
The openly gay Adam Lambert of American Idol fame performed his song For Your Entertainment at the AMAs and shocked conservative audiences by simulating oral sex with a male back-up dancer, kissing a male band member, and grabbing his crotch… a lot. The show which aired on ABC edited out the raunchiness for West Coast viewers. True, at rehearsals Lambert did not execute the overtly sexual actions, but the backlash against the performance has been too hyped up. Talk show host Ellen DeGeneres made a great statement about the controversy pointing out if you are going to be offended by a sexual performance, you should be offended by all sexual performances.
10. Chris Brown and Rihanna
Abuse from a loved one can happen to anyone as learned in February when media site TMZ released pictures of a battered face Rihanna. Her now ex-boyfriend, Chris Brown, was sentenced to five years’ probation and six months’ physical labor. Brown’s publicist has a lot of work to do, but thanks to the popular YouTube video showcasing a wedding party dancing down the aisle to Brown’s hit ‘Forever’ his musical talents have not been forgotten. Yet, the video apology he streamed on his YouTube channel seemed like Brown was reading off a teleprompter. And also Brown was furious that Oprah Winfrey would not help him out as he once performed at her school in Africa. Sorry, Chris Brown but do you think it is really necessary to go after one of the most influential people in America and rift on her because she does not support the abuser when you have enough on your plate as it is?
9. Carrie Prejean
This former Miss California most likely did not win the Miss USA title due to her remarks regarding that marriage should remain between a man and a woman. Prejean was fired later in the year for being uncooperative and breaching contractual obligations. The Christian-minded believed she was also let go due to her same-sex marriage statements and sued beauty pageant officials for libel, slander, and religious discrimination. The pageant officials counter sued for money used for her breast implants and the royalties from her published memoir. Both sides dropped their respective lawsuits for a confidential settlement probably because pageant lawyers obtained a graphic home video featuring Prejean. She dubbed it as the “biggest mistake” of her life, but it turns out that there are seven solo sex tapes of the ex-beauty queen. While trying to make it as a good Christian, Prejean has been very hypocritical to say the least.
8. Cheating celebrities
The Late Show host David Letterman cheated on his then girlfriend now wife and mother of his child Regina Lasko with female staffers. Actor Josh Duhamel cheated on his wife Black Eyed Peas singer Fergie with an exotic dancer. World renowned professional golfer Tiger Woods cheated on his wife model Elin Nordegren with to date ten women. The scandalous and very public affairs prove that even when a man has it all he sometimes wants more.
7. “Balloon Boy” hoax
Many Americans watched in suspense as a silver weather balloon flew in the sky. Richard and Mayumi Heene reported to the police that their son, Falcon, was missing and might be in the flying apparatus. When it touched down and the six year old boy was not found inside police continued a ground search. Falcon was later found in the family garage. During an interview with CNN following his reappearance, Falcon revealed that it was “done for the show.” Mr. Heene was pitching a reality tv show surrounding his family and his scientific experiments to several cable outlets and planned the balloon stunt for publicity. Using his own little boy to become a fame whore not only cost tax payer money but disgusted American people as much as Octomom did in 2008. Here’s what Kanye would probably have to say about this: Yo, balloon boy. I’m really happy you’re safe and Imma let you finish but Anne Frank had one of the best attic hideout spots of all time.
6. Celebrity deaths
Infomercial icon Bill Mays; former Charlie’s Angel Farah Fawcett; Senator Ted Kennedy; King of Pop Michael Jackson; star of Dirty Dancing and Ghost, Patrick Swayze; CBS Evening News anchorman Walter Cronkite. May they all rest in peace and enjoy celebrity heaven.
5. Obama wins Nobel Peace Prize
The Norwegian Nobel Committee awarded President Barack Obama the Nobel Peace Prize for his promises of disarmament and diplomacy. Considering he had not actually done anything to deserve the award, the judges felt giving him the prize three years in future would be too late. Obama (Slow-bama?) concedes the peace prize is not a sign of is accomplishments but of his promises to the free world.
4. Controversial magazine covers
Magazines are not thriving in this economic climate. Consumer magazines in particular have resorted to feature more risqué covers in order to produce revenue. GQ published their November issue with actress January Jones sporting a pair of enhanced via Photoshop breasts. Newsweek Playboy magazine featured the first animated character to undergo a spread for the adult book with a scantily clad Marge Simpson. Newsweek ran a cover with former vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin donning a tight red sweater and black short-shorts. At least people are picking up the magazines and buying them right?
3. The Jay Leno Show
Once heralded as a network for bringing hit tv shows, NBC has tanked with its experiment of airing The Jay Leno Show at 10 PM every weeknight. Low ratings may be due to the fact that Leno has not dramatically transformed his new show to differentiate it from his run on The Tonight Show. Also his sense of humor tends to be a little more tame now it airs an hour earlier. David Letterman actually pulls in higher ratings in a key demographic thanks or no thanks to the extortion case and marital affairs he is involved with. Furthermore, The Jay Leno Show fills the slot that could have been filled by five promising new hour-long dramas. NBC continues to back its decision stating that production costs for The Jay Leno Show are much lower than scripted shows and will not see a loss in revenue. With networks such as FOX churning out the popular Glee and ABC returning next month with the return of Lost, NBC has a lot of competition
2. Kate and Jon Gosselin
“Jon & Kate Plus 8”, a cable show favorite following a couple and their eight children, has met its finale in season five. The once happy couple divorced over the summer and made their brawls public and nasty. Seems like a another set of parents putting their needs before their childrens’ well-being and living up their fifteen minutes of shame, er, fame.
1. Kanye’s 2009 MTV Video Music Awards Interruption
Taylor Swift, a bestselling country artist, wins the VMA for Female Video of the Year. Cue montage for the “Imma let you finish but…” shot heard around the world wide web. Rapper Kanye West came on stage, took microphone from 19-year-old girl, and informed her and everybody else that “Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time.” He then pointed to a mortified Beyonce Knowles. Shrugged off the boos. Labeled the best douche bag of all time. To a lesser extent, Lil Mama’s run up onstage at the conclusion of Jay-Z and Alicia Key’s performance of “Empire State of Mind” and just posing there with them was another YouTube worthy debacle. And really, VMA security? Two stage crashers in one night?
